Early Warm Weather Means Early Lawncare in West Michigan!
Nothing sells a home better than curb appeal! I believe that 50% of a sale takes place at the curb. If buyers hate what they see when they drive up it will be very hard to overcome that impression once inside. Sometimes they can't even identify the issue, it's just a less than positive feeling they have about the house.
Due to our unseasonably warm weather of late in West ...

Top 10 Reasons To Buy A Home in West Michigan in 2012!Everywhere the great debate seems to be about housing and one of the biggest dilemmas facing potential buyers these days is whether to buy to to rent. Mortgage Checklist for Michigan MortgagesI am often contacted by buyers who are excited about beginning the process of looking for a home and want to know how to get started in the process. The first thing that I always ask is if they had talked with a lender about their financing needs.
Unless a buyer is prepared to pay cash for a property, a visit with a reputable lender is always the first step in the home-buying process. When ...

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream For Hudsonville Ice Cream! One of childhood memories of growing up in the West Michigan area is that of hometown favorite, Hudsonville Ice Cream. There were many folks I knew who would only choose this brand of ice cream and many Hudsonville, Jenison, Grandville, Byron Center and West Michigan homes would only stock the "round pack" version of the vanilla ice cream.

Pickerel Lake Park Fred Meijer Nature PreserveOne of my favorite places in the Grand Rapids, MI area to get in touch with nature is Pickerel Lake Park Fred Meijer Nature Preserve. If you need a place to reflect, relax, and enjoy relatively a unspoiled natural setting you owe it to yourself to visit this spot.
The park encompasses approximately 305 acres on the 72 acre Pickerel Lake. A boardwalk crosses the lake and an unpaved ...

How Can We Hook A Buyer?I pass a home for sale in my area on occasion and the signage always makes me smile. The front yard is full of signs that extol the virtues of this property. The real problem is that it is a busy 4 lane street so time is limited as one passes and it's hard to read all of the signs at once. It's clear that the seller and the agent wants to make sure those passing by have a clear understanding of the ...

Bike, Hike, Ski System in Grand Rapids, MI gets addition! One of the things that I love about Grand Rapids and West Michigan is the extensive non-motorized trail system that exists throughout our area. Still On The Fence? It Could Be Costing You!There are many buyers in the market currently who aren't sure if they should buy because they fear we haven't "hit the bottom" of the market. Sometimes it makes sense to consider more factors than just the pricing of homes currently on the market.
The Federal Housing Administration announced earlier this week that it is increasing its annual mortgage insurance premium one quarter of one ...
